Housing and Accommodation

A wonderful opportunity to take some time away from home. Whether due to necessity, or for the rejuvenating benefits of a change of scene, a few days away or even a new place to call home, in a fully supported environment can work wonders!

STA – Short Term Accommodation (also known as Respite care)

Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time.

MTA – Medium Term Accommodation

The NDIS can fund Medium Term Accommodation so you have somewhere to live while waiting for your confirmed long term housing solution. We only fund it if you’re waiting for your disability related supports and have a confirmed long term housing solution. We usually fund Medium Term Accommodation for up to 90 days.

SIL – Supported Independent Living (a place you can call home)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a funded support category under the NDIS. Living in a SIL home, you will receive additional support with daily tasks such as cleaning, nutrition, medication and more.

More importantly, it’s also a home that should reflect who you are and be a safe place where you can be yourself. That’s why you will always be a part of household decisions from choosing your place of residence to decorating your room.
