Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Our Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with clients to help them achieve their communication goals. This could be through therapy to improve certain aspects of their speech and language, or through finding a different communication system that can work for the person and training the person and their support team in the use of it.
When people have a way to clearly communicate their wants and needs, it gives them more choice and control, and reduces the frustration and emotional outbursts that others often regard as ‘behavioural’. In these ways, speech pathology can dramatically improve their quality of life.
Additionally, our SLPs can help people with safe feeding and swallowing, through creating individualised plans tailored to support their individual needs in this area.
